PEX Repipe
When you have leaks or broken pipes, the common solution is to have the faulty pipes replaced. However, in some cases your home will need all the pipes replaced. This is an option to consider if you live in an older home with galvanized steel plumbing.
For decades, steel was the most popular plumbing choice. Today, we know this is not the case as steel is not as durable as today's copper, PEX, and CPVC piping options. If you notice that your lines suffer from constant blockages, leaks and water pressure fluctuation we advise you to give us a call to have your water lines evaluated.
Drain Cleaning
Over time, drains can accumulate obstructions leading to serious clogs. The solution to this issue is to clean the drain. By clearing the clog, your plumbing will have fast and smooth draining. Most times if the problem is coming from a clogged toilet, sink or bathtub, it may be a clog in that drain. If you suspect sewer backup with every flush you probably have a blockage in your main sewer line. Another common reason for a clogged sewer is when tree roots grow into the pipeline.
The best way to define the cause of your sewer backup is to have it evaluated by a licensed plumber. We have experience pinpointing clogs and have cameras available for your peace of mind.
Water Heaters
Most water heaters should be replaced after about 10 years of usage, however if you see any of the following indicators you may need to replace your existing water heater soon. If you see rusty hot water coming out of your water system, your water heater could be rusty inside and is releasing rust into the hot water. Rumbling noises when your water heater is being used is another faulty water heater sign. This is caused when sediment builds up at the bottom of the tank. Another indicator of a faulty water heater is a leak coming from the water heater connections or the tank. It would be a good idea to get your water heater evaluated by a professional if you suspect any of these signs.
